Last week I decided to order pizza for delivery to my home. I was surprised to find out that now there is a minimum order for delivery that is in addition to the delivery charge. Domino's has a minimum order for $18.99 and my order was only around $12. I would have had to order something that I did not want or need just to get to pay the almost $5 delivery charge, plus tax and tip. I went to Pizza Hut and found that their minimum order was like $13.99, which was still more than the item that I intended to purchase. I added 1 additional topping and fulfilled the requirement and got my stuff delivered.
While I do realize that these minimum order requirements are pretty reasonable, I do think they are excessive, especially if you are required to pay a delivery charge of $4 to $5. Has anybody else run into this problem or does it just have to do with my geographical location and particular stores?
