Sherwood Forest. A beautiful day out and it's on our doorstep!

We go here to walk the dog every other Sunday. Sometimes when it's bank holiday they have events on and its such a great atmosphere. We went a couple of weeks back and here are some pics. We didn't see Robin Hood but then again he is a myth.....if not he be wouldn't be alive anyway seeing as he supposedly was around in the 1200's....

Anyway I love the fact that we have the Robin Hood legend in our area.

So awesome to live near such a legendary place. Robin Hood is high on my list of favorite myths.

It's about a 5/tin minute drive away aunt-Deb we are very lucky

Very cool pictures! Interesting how they've blended in bits and pieces from the "legend" as curiosities along the way.

Thank you! It's really cool what they have done here. The big tree in the middle is the major oak the oldest tree held up by scaffolding, they do renenactmet weekends and all sorts of things
