The pilots had a narrow escape after their aircraft rocked dangerously and plunged low over a dense residential area in Telangana. The incident caused the metal door of the aircraft to rip off and crash onto a terrace of a house. However, no one was hurt in the incident.
According to reports in NDTV, Ganesh Yadav, the owner of the house in Secunderabad, where the metal door fell, stated that a painter who was working on the terrace escaped the crash as he had gone down for lunch just moments before.
The Telangana State Aviation Academy aircraft was on a training flight and was being flown at 2,500 feet by a pilot and a trainee. The Director General of Civil Aviation has launched an inquiry and the metal door was taken away for investigation by civil aviation officials.
