How do you prep for the week? Due to the possibility of letting my mind wander too much, I'm keeping everything on track with a simple planner every Sunday.
So for Week 39 of 2017, that is September 18 to 24, here is a spread of the incoming week:
Admittedly, I have (rare) weeks where there are nothing to write on this thing, I've found that it pays to have schedule, a plan of what happens in your week. Time is a limited resource we should use wisely.
I've devoted at least 10 minutes every Sunday to check on the past week, and to update the upcoming one. (My week 38 was a real mess, let's not even look at it laughs nervously)
Since I promised myself to start on Python and Data Science, I'm placing those general ideas on the bottom-most of the schedule. Priorities are on top, with the MIT - Most Important Thing, and I keep major appointments here.
The rest of the space has hours from 8am to 8pm for the main bulk of the day, which I use to monitor time-specific activities, and to block hours and see how these will affect the others. I've kept a lot of space in them and the bottom colored boxes for things that suddenly arises in a day.
On a side note, I know a calendar function in a cellphone or the numerous applications exist, but I function better on analog so I stuck with paper. Maybe in the future, I'll return to bullet journals, but for now, I do not need it that direly. But not to dissuade you from electronic planning-- I keep meetings as alarms in my cellphone so that it can remind me, without me having to reopen my planner.
I hope your upcoming week goes well. Tell me how you plan your week? Do you have specific techniques?
PS - Purposely blurred some parts of the image - peace! Don't strain your eyes.
PPS - Watch out for future posts on planning - and possibly when I return to bullet journals~
PPPS - Oh hey, a simple brush letterig - did a bit of practice on it to balance my day out...
Nice, thanks for the idea of top and bottom activities...

Thank you~ Initially I filled the entire box but realized it wasn't helping me when I have additional stuff to do in a day so I keep it general on the bottom and specific on top :)

I like your post and do not take this the wrong way, I agree with making plans and having them, but time is not limited and it is a man made thing that actually doesn't exist, I have done years of research on this to know what I speak is true. please do not trust me or believe me, I know already and the only way you will know to is if one looks into this ones self.

It's alright, no worries-- while I will not argue with you on time being a manmade resource (I read that somewhere as just a means for sequencing and is an illusion //i think? too sleepy atm), I suppose to clear it up-- the things you can do are limited to the confines of when you can and cannot which are usually governed by the body clock, that conforms usually to day and night-- so plan the moments you are active/ available, as much as possible.
Thanks for your thought on this :)

Right I can agree with that right there. Lets just say what I am speaking on takes an actual complete perspective change from where one is to see. and that takes moments of space and openness to do.
