Snake Plant, known by many names as well as Mother-in-law's Tongue, is an attractive houseplant that is very easy to take care of. They are very forgiving and do well in most conditions. I would keep it in indirect sunlight so that the soil doesn't dry out too fast, although it can tolerate sparse waterings.
There are two main ways to produce more plants from a larger existing plant. The first is by separating new growthby the roots from the main plant and repotting. The other way is to take a cutting. I will be showing the latter.
There are two ways to propagate a cutting: in water and in soil. I chose the water method because I thought it would be faster.
You can cut pieces of leaf as long as your finger like so.

This much water is not necessary. Just barely enough to cover the wound.

After a few weeks, roots will sprout and then they will continue to quickly grow so plant it in soil soon!

I placed it in my northern windowsill where it does not get such strong light. I will update you when and if it sends out a new shoot. I hope you decide to get your own snake plant; try to get a cutting from a friend and propagate your own plant!

As a bonus, I'm showing you a picture of my air plant.

It was the first plant I wrote about when it bloomed and I joined steemit a few months ago. Here's the original post :

I stopped by because I saw you followed me. I wanted to take time to thank you. As I do everybody who follows me because I believe that each person matters that much. So for that I thank you so much. I also saw the mother in law's tongue plant and I have some also. I find them very easy to take care of its why I like them. I also have cactuses and we just planted aloe seeds and one of those came up. It looks like you have a lot of good stuff here, so I say keep up the good work. Have to go for now so until we meet again I send you and all of yours all of my love as always. And ask that our creator bless you and yours.

Thank you for stopping by. I wish you the same. Until next time.
