In the new version, the player has to collect the huge number of points at the end of the game by all the available three means. Traditionally, the winner of the game was the player who bankrupts all other players and at last remains the millionaire. In the new version, the player has to purchase properties first. Then the player will not only earn the rent when the opponent will land on it, but also each of the property has a point value assigned specifically to it.
At the end of the game, the player with more properties will end up with higher chances of winning the game.
Another way to get more points is by defeating the 'BOSSES' in the 'Boss Battle'. This battle starts when any player passes 'GO' space. If any player does this then he must have to finish the remainder of their turn. After that, he flips a card from the deck of boss cards. There are total 8 Bosses, (7 Koopalings and Bowser). Each of the fight with a Boss starts with a specific Coin amount, which the player has to pay before challenging. The player will win the battle if he Rolls the dice to 4 or higher number.

However, if the gamer losses the battle OR do not have enough coin to play, then the attempt goes to next gamer. He will pay the Coin amount to play the battle, this will goes on until the boss is defeated, everyone passes OR everyone run out of Coins. If any of the last two situations occurs, then that specific boss card will be discarded and removed from the game.
In this new version, the note currency has been changed into Coins. Coins come in 1 Coin and 5 Coin variants. Players can use these coins to purchase properties, enter boss battle and carry on with other expenses or pay the rent.
