Asked to be a special guest on Voice Of The Underground Podcast today by @beanz and @sirlunchthehost

I don't spend a lot of time on voice chat primarily for one reason, and one reason only. I can type fast and multitask quite well, until I open my mouth. As soon as I do that my mind narrows into really only being able to concentrate on that single conversation. It is not like I am paying more attention. I have not ever noticed I suddenly get more intelligent and more clear as I am only thinking about one thing. Instead I have to fight with my mouth and the occasional stumbling, etc. I do enjoy hearing people and interacting with them. It is simply not how I normally interact.

I'd actually likely engage in it quite regularly just so I can laugh as I listen with joy to the funny things that people like @fyrstikken and @sirlunchthehost have to say. They have some entertaining personalities, and for them I believe voice is one of the prime ways that is expressed. There is something about hearing them that you cannot get in the written word.

I joined and spoke with these guys last Sunday when @krnel asked me to attend a community discussion about decentralizing power. The discussion ultimately did not go that way, but instead was on a different topic. It was entertaining, informative, and hopefully productive. That also was likely the first time many of you have ever heard my voice unless you happened to look at the single video I narrated months ago. (unlikely)

@sirlunchthehost is a cheerful guy who makes narcissistic references to himself frequently, but you can HEAR the grin that is likely on his face when he says such things. You know it is him giving an opening, and saying "Come on, interact with me".
So I did. I shot him an image of Narcissus leaning over looking at their own reflection in a pool and asked him if he was familiar with that particular Greek story. He laughed and understood. A little later I sent him a clip from a recent episode of Grimm (Television Series) where Hank takes two doses of this curse from a Cupid like demon. The end result, instead of obsessing over the intended target, he ended up falling in love with his own reflection, and the part where he is standing in the bathroom hitting on himself, and chatting himself up, is the part I shared with @sirlunchthehost.

That was last week. A couple of days ago @beanz asked me if I would join the VOTU podcast today as a special guest. It is supposed to begin in about 18 minutes now. I signed in about 10 minutes ago so I could make sure I had the correct discord server, had my headset setup (which I normally only use for stuff like this or once a week gaming with coworkers). I decided I would write a post while I waited.

Let's see how this podcast goes. It will be my first and I admit I am curious.

EDIT: I think it went well, but I'm a podcast newb, so who knows. @seablue did mention I forgot to mention him in last week's chat. He did have quite a bit of interesting input then and today.

I'm looking forward to the podcast.

You know me so well, so well I've learned something new about myself..I'm so awesome and great..Thank you for this @dwinblood

Very profound self-awareness of reality, revealing a very deep self-knowledge, and great explanation of the ambiance of exposure in voice channels.
My compliments because in the first paragraph I feel exactly this way in Voice channels, but I wish I could write that sensation with such mastery.:)
The explanation of that sensation in me comes from working in group dynamics and training, I learned to rely on and pay a lot of attention to the 95% of body language and the 5% language/speech to get feedback.
I'm still trying to adapt to the 5% language as feedback. But I've been learning and been a very good experience in how to adapt and learn a lot about the Voices/People that are now 100% of the feedback I get.
Thanks for this no mainstream real quality rich content that is a demonstration of the real wealth of Steemit.
