Two New Voices

When The Sustainable Living Podcast got started, it was the fun project of Jenise and Marianne @mariannewest. Due to personal circumstances, Jenise had to step back from the podcast and Marianne was carrying on by herself.

Marianne started to rethink the podcast and where she wanted to go with it. Community is so important to her that she decided to turn the podcast into a project of many voices.

In this episode, two new voices are making their debut on the podcast.

Claire

Marianne and Claire met right here on Steemit where you can find here as @fishyculture. Claire represents the homesteader who has come to this lifestyle later in life and has to make smart choices now to make sure things are sustainable. In plain English, we are talking aging, homesteading and having the life we want.

This is the intro Claire wrote:

My name is Claire Cox, I was born and raised in Ohio I moved to Oregon at age 17, where I met and married my husband, Mark. He is an RN at the hospital "near" us, almost an hour away. We have 2 grown children and 5 grandkids, and 5 cows. About ten years ago we moved to the boondocks and we have been trying to live as self-sufficiently as possible. We have dabbled in permaculture, aquaponics, fodder feeding and many more innovative gardening concepts. It has been an incredible journey, lots of blood, sweat, tears, and laughter, and we even learned a thing or two along the way. We are nearing "retirement age" for my husband now, and so taking a long, hard look at the reality of growing old and homesteading. We need to make some changes... we invite anyone who is interested to tag along as we wander along!

Pia

Pia will be contributing a segment on sustainable travel once a month. We hope that you will love her first segment.

Cheetah - what is wrong with you? I am sharing the YouTube video here - by the way, it is my video, my podcast. But I wrote a whole new blog post about it and what appeared somewhere else is in block quotes. What is up?

OK... When I say "cheetah kills a post" perhaps I can get you to back me up on that? The reply I hear is "It just upvotes you" but look how many people commented after the bot came by. They need to change the name.

yes, you are right that chetah kills a post. And they do need to set the bot up a bit better. I didn't even share a previously published blog post but it dinged me for a You Tube video? My own?
Crazy!!!
I am all up for fighting plagiarism but I need to be able to post my own stuff on several platforms and post even older stuff here. We shall see how the bot acts in the future. I went to steem cleaners and complained.

Thank you - I hope more people will take the time to complain. I agree, plagiarism is bullshit but... They claim that bot is not about plagiarism any more, then CHANGE ITS NAME!

Agreed!! And telling people that they can't post their own content is bull!!
