Steem Path of Exile competition started last night and it is heating up today, we already have some players far ahead of the rest. But here is where things get interesting, the farther you go the chances of death are increasing, only very safe play will save you later on.

I started with my Duelist character and I'm building around new skill that was introduced in the bestiary league. Spectral shield throw makes my character very tanky and with a lot of resistances and life I might survive this hardcore competition, but also I might die to some basic mob if I do not pay attention to all the deadly affixes they have.

You can check the progress of every player here https://steemit.com/poecomp/@mattclarke/five-more-days-to-get-your-entry-in-and-tweak-your-character-choices-play-style-and-strategy and you can still join the fun :)

Yes! Pokemon league! I'm playing a duelist as well but on softcore and going with a dual strike build. It's going quite smoothly for now :P

You can join our competition and earn some Steem if you end up in top 3 :)

It's too late. Entries had to be in before the new league launched.
I'll probably run it again in 3 months or so, when they launch a new new league :)

Oh, it's too late. Cool.

I’d never play hardcore on a UK sky broadband.. heh it is bad as is on softcore.. quite fruistrating to be honest at times. But I eill follow the progress of you guys! :)

Having reliable connection certainly is something that HC needs. I've nearly died a couple of times from my poor connection

Can’t agree more.. mine isn’t just poor.. I get spikes that go on for a minute sometimes - getting at about 1500-2000ms.. it’s certain death 😄

I know that pain. Thankfully not that often. I've seen over 4000ms in the lag meter on D3, which is not fun. Thankfully most of the time it's <500ms which is playable

I've been really impressed by some of these early results.
I don't think I've had a hc character go higher than level 55, and that was after weeks of gameplay.

@beercake is destroying the game. A real pro :)
