Locked Out - (An Original Poem, by @articl61).

Another deep breath, while the moment chills the skin.
The slice of betrayal from memories within.
The whole disappears and I'm forced to watch
As the branches wilt and eventually fall off
An insomniac nightmare fueled on a fast.
A duck in the water, the calm will not last.
The Black beast returns and we ride to the past.
Trips to the shore or an early morning cast.
But as the focus sharpens and more images appear
Of fond family memories I once held so dear
Five on one bed and never so comfy
A vision I cherish tormenting me monthly
Locked out the room yet imprisoned in time
With a beast from the darkness and a family resigned.

Wow...Amazing Poem post...thanks for sharing..I like post...

Hello I found your first poem through @amariespeaks' Minnow Mondays and I'm a bit late to upvote it. So I looked for a more recent one. You make heartfelt poems and this one seems deep. It's nice that you can express it through poetry :)

Thank you that is very kind of you and a lovely comment to receive also. Sometimes my mood takes control and I feel the need to write about things like this. I should really do more positive writing to balance things out. :)

I think it's positive in a way because you get to release these emotions or thoughts, which would not be good if just kept on your own. And it's an artistic outlet too. :)

Too true. Exactly why I do it. Have a bit of a block at the minute so seems it has at least cleared the system lol. Maybe I could write about not being able to write... ;)
