The Unaccepted Rose

in poem •  7 years ago

I am a lovely Red Rose
Holding me in his hand
he waited for some one

He waited and waited…

She never came
His warm tears filled my petals
unable to bear my weight he put me down
and looked at the deserted road

Our shadows were growing big
It became ghost and haunted him
She never came

Then he took me in his hand
Kept me near his heart and
Like a child he slept
I was with him
as an unaccepted rose.
