అనువుగాని చోట నధికుల మనరాదు
కొంచమయిన నదియు గొదువరాదు కొండ
యద్దమందు గొంచమై యుండదా
విశ్వదాభిరామ వినురవేమ

Telugu meaning

కొండ అద్దంలో చిన్నదిగా కనిపించినంతమాత్రాన అది చిన్నదయిపోదు. అలాగే అనువుగాని (తగని, అనవసరమైన) చోట గొప్పవారని చెప్పుకోకూడదు. అలా చేయడం వల్ల ఏ నష్టం కలగదు. అటువంటి చోట్లలో తగ్గి వుండటమే మంచిది.

English Meaning

As it looks smaller in the rocky mirror, it will not be short. Also, you should not say that they are great enough (suitable, unnecessary). Doing so will not cause any damage. It is better to have lessened in such places.
