A Sonnet

My merry bee, you inspire me to write.
I love the way you cuddle, sting and slither,
Invading my mind day and through the night,
Always dreaming about the cute zither.
Let me compare you to a secret prune?
You are more cunning and more exciting.
Sly sun heats the acid peaches of June,
And summertime has the chemic siting.
How do I love you? Let me count the ways.
I love your thundery thumb, toe and smile.
Thinking of your placid toe fills my days.
My love for you is the stunning argyll.
Now I must away with a twinning heart,
Remember my slick words whilst we're apart.
Have you by any chance taken inspiration from David Bowie? He used to take random pages, cut them up and make poems out of whatever words ended up in the pile in front of him! :-)
