Peace where can I find?
I heard about you from a far distance land,
I searched day and night for to hold you,
But could not find you with all effort made,
Many said you can be seen only at night,
Others said you can be attracted by substance,
I took different mixtures but could not hold you.
But every time I try to get hold of you by chance,
You only stay temporal and vanish afterwards,
Oh Peace, show me your domain,
So I can place my bed close to you.
Whenever I have you I become new,
Display unimaginable power that gives satisfaction.
At your absence, men destroys what they have built,
Broken marriages and relationships,
Wars both physical and mental,
You hold the healing balm that changes everything broken,
People and government deliberates to have you in their midst,
Campaigns, conventions and congress are organized to have you.

Who can give peace if not the creator?
The first man had a taste of it until the fall,
But through love God restores peace,
Jesus became our peace, which the world cannot give,
Just believe and you have it,
Glory to God for this precious gift
