'Fire burns,' a child is warned,
Yet he touches and get burned
Thus from experience learns .

Molten lime resembles curd,
The foolish mistakes for curd
And gets his tongue flared.

The wise one learns from books,
Experience or lessons of elders
And learns to cross life's barrier.

The foolish one hardly learns
Even when falls in great trouble
And repeats errors done earlier.

Once out, put not foot on the trap
In which you got caught before .
Get not puffed even by sweet words.

Learn from life's real experience
For it is the best teacher, they say
And thus get through life's ordeal.
