The Next Day's Work - a poem

in poem •  8 years ago

A fragile Stability up in Smoke
Silent Witnesses watching from Rooftops

The Swifts have moved away and scream elsewhere
And the Normality that returns is uneasy

A small Disturbance in the Fabric
Reality bleeds through staining the Weave

Each Night Penelope stealthily unpicks
And spools up the Threads for The Next Day's Work
