MOTHER'S HANDS

Mother’s hands are cherished
From the moment we arrive.
The loving touch that comforts
That tiny, new born life.

The hands that stroke the worried head
And drive away the fears
That touch, that gentle, loving touch
That wipes away the tears.

And as we travel through the years
To near or distant lands,
We know the love we feel inside
Began in mother’s hands.

Beautiful and so true! Yet, we seldom realize that our mothers are ourselves. We can forgive them when we realize that we have the same challenges our mothers had and we seldom did a better job. But, in that case, we understand that we tried to do the best we could with what we had to work with.
