Poem: I Woke Up

in poem •  6 years ago

I am going to miss you.

Do not.
Try not
to even think
of this place.

That will be
impossible.
I still have
that scar.

Be strong.
Love everyone.
Yourself, included,
this time.

Our door closed heavy
behind my summer sunsetted steps.
Our hands closed tight
into my summer sunsetted eclipse.

I woke up stark alone,
in my own sheets
and prison blues.

Please, let me go home,
place one more stone and,
relish our scent of you?

A key is removed and pocketed.
