Poetry 365 | Day 242 | Twin Flame?

in poetry •  5 years ago

Alyssa Trahan is a fellow astrologer kicking some good stuff

We look into the mirror
To find our other halves
But sinking into fear
We sometimes hold our breaths
Acting like a twin is really what we want
Whereupon delivery, this being is a taunt
Because truthfully we long
To be challenged in our core
Placation is a charm
Whereas triumph is much more
So instead of looking for the flame
In which to burn
Pick a different soul
And find some lessons
Yet to learn.
