Life in Poetry - Broken People

We’re broken people now,
Chasing love beyond the mundane,
Dreaming in and out of illusions,
Wanting someone to heal our pain,
To intertwine our broken parts,
So gold runs deep in our veins,
A mad magical leap of love,
A love that won’t keep us sane,
To hold us while we’re broken,
So that our foolish love can reign.
