For all things a season
tender green things
pushing and expanding
through the mulch and decay
Death sustaining life in
a dance that is older
than what even the
most ancient and wise
grandmother can recall
And if we can but learn
to soften ourselves to
this turning of the wheel
this shadow time
We can then cultivate
the soil for our own arising
