The Unexpected Destination

The darkness that surrounded me,
suddenly was pierced.
By a white and shining light,
that encompassed me so fierce.

Yet peace enveloped my heart and soul,
and joy burst forth from me.
I felt as if I floated up,
into supreme ecstasy.

I noticed beings by my side,
that spoke in gentle tones.
They seemed as if they were my guides,
as I entered the unknown.

I asked one that was close to me,
if this was heavens welcome here.
She said no your're under anesthesia,
and in the dentists chair.
