In the ‘Shadow’ is where one’s power hides,

For gifted folk it comes as a surprise.

Because they haven’t felt the need,

To see work’s vigour to be freeing

But caught in Nothing’s terrible rage,
Knocked off the prince and displaced the cage.

Leap off the cliff while chased by a slow Bear,

To close the eyes, I find it to be queer

For fear gives one more weight to bear

To jump until the muscles tear,

Until the Bear becomes the stare
that’s waiting for your traps to snare.

Wild Bear, Oh! Old Bear, A Slow bearer,

You’ve broken hearts, you’ve tramped on sticks and stones,

You’ve grinded down your enemies to their bones,

What’s left in there, is not to share,

And if you unearth cares to care;

Combine your Shadow with a glowing bath,

By the power invested in the universe,

And harness Unity, for dawn’s next giving.
