Fear

in poetry •  7 years ago

Fear of pain
Fear of love
Fear of life
Fear of death

Invisible hands choking you while you sleep
Strangling you while awake

Fear of me
Fear of them
Fear of everyone
Fear yourself

Horses running on your chest
Breaking your ribs
Crushing your heart
Stealing your breath

Fear of disease
Fear of collapse
Fear of the end
The end of fear

I think you do a really good job of portraying fear and the effect it has on those consumed by it. Great write. Upvote.

Thanks, @moeknows. Nothing is more daunting than fear itself, yet having nothing to fear is terrifying, in a way.

That's very true. I'm following you.

Great article
