I fell in love, yet again,
It felt like the first time, yet again,
Unexplainably attacked by adversity but yet happy,
She was so fond of me, I got the nickname Papee,
So in sync the feelings were we got immersed,
Forgot about what people felt for that made sense,
In her company time became my enemy,
If I knew no better I would wonder, "what sorcery?!",
Alas! My love is gone I feel the pain,
I stare in the distance shriveled as though hit by a train,
My heart is heavy and without home.
Where is the lady I call my own?!

’It felt like the first time, yet again.’ What a powerful line. The feeling of falling in love for the first time, again, is a very significant one. Another line that stood out to me was: ’In her company time became my enemy.’ Time is such a fragile thing, and there is simply never enough of it. If we let it slip away, it will haunt us forever. When accompanied by someone we love, time tends to vanish, be virtually non-existant, until, of course, we find out we are out of time. I really loved this poem. Thank you for sharing!
