when there is no light I can see you

in poetry •  6 years ago  (edited)

All my life I’ve been looking at pictures on the walls, the same words on white papers, the same sun drops down into the sea, the same light following me until I fall asleep.

I open my eyes slowly, I don’t want to but I have to. This world is different.

I see paint on walls and drawings on ripped paper, a sun drops down in the fire, there is no light,

some can’t see but
I do: I see you.
