We shut ourselves up, in tiny rooms in our minds,
The windows closed, the curtains pulled.
In this self-imposed prison, we could open the blinds,
For sunlight; our fears to be lulled.
~
We should open the shutters, throwing fears to the wind;
Have we not our nightlights outgrown?
As the world grows more angry, is our love growing thinned?
Why do we walk and watch our phones?
~
Filled with potential, fated with enormity;
The universe is our oyster.
Differences are our assets, not deformity.
We can’t excel in a cloister
~
Love is always the answer; joining all mankind;
Shining through the window. Open the blinds.

Tiny Rooms
This title I like very much and the poem was very learning.... I love this speech...

and in that very tiny room i drown myself with words like knives, too late for sunlight but this sonnet gave me warmth! :)

Thanks for the 'poetic' comment @nikapar, but it almost sounds like you need some
Serious antidepressants 😉

i think i do, thanks!
