Storm

in poetry •  7 years ago

You saw a maiden on a rock
In white clothes over the waves,
When, raging in a stormy haze,
The sea played with the banks,
When a ray of lightning lit up
Her all-night glitter scarlet
And the wind beat and flew
With her flying veil?
Beautiful sea in a stormy haze
And the sky is shiny without azure;
But believe me: the virgin on the rock
Better than waves, heavens and storms.
