I DON"T FIGHT

I DON’T FIGHT

I thought away the hurt so many times.

I fought through the things that gave me pain.

What I didn’t realize to you, it was wrong.

I kept it all inside my heart, and lost every time

To me, I was fighting for what I thought was right.

It comes to me now,

I was fighting my heart

Now I fight to remember, just to heal my brain.

Know the fighting is not over,

For then you fought the feelings,

You had regret

You look at all the life you missed

You fight to hold back the tears

And you can’t anymore

Then the fight turns into sparks in your eyes

You find out you weren’t fighting at all

It was the love you carried all through those years.
