Phosphorous Venus

At the darkest of days
When all is but lost
Wind whips a slap in the face
Larynx threatens to scream at all cost

Wolves howl in the distance
Shrilling ears of helter-skelter
Prey of dire circumstance
Frantically scamper for a havenless shelter

Tomorrow is out of the picture
Forever night broken crystal
No handy man can fix her
No more empty praise to extol

The sky is broken by a shinning rock
Phosphorus close to the source
Rotating backward around the clock
A glimmer of light begins its course

Over the mountain a red yellow presence
Giving light to a robin in a tree
Again the colors of life are in balance
As warmth sets clovers free

The new day dawns golden bright
Freed from chains of darkness thereof
No more fear of howls in the night
Set free to shine hope in the valley of love

After thoughts:

The world may look like a dark and dangerous place. Things may not turn out like we had planned but there is always a shimer of light if you can see it then you can dance to it.
