Hi, folks.
I’m back on Day 55 for my 50th Entry to the Steemit School Poetry 100-Day Challenge by @d-pend. And I have decided to add a brief introduction (really brief but meaningful I think) to communicate some of the motivations and the unexpected twists involved in my creative process.
I'll be glad should you be able to read and comment.

Box
A box to keep my gears and glimpses of
a future yet to come after I’ve parted;
a little box was all I could afford;
a box it was I, keenly, deeply wanted.
Should all my fine possessions bargain room
and find a decent corner on the flat,
for I’m afraid my life outside is doomed,
for all I thought I’d do I did so bad.
A box to stuff with lost dreams of a city
to store dead poets and books unwritten,
a cardboard cubicle to hide from pity;
although, perhaps, I’d rather end up beaten.
A chest would do if I could find the means,
for it’s all precious what you’d find within.
A Brief Personal Comment:
I began to write this sonnet as I thought about how human babies are much like boxes where we deposit hopes, education, unaccomplished goals, etc. But I ended up writing about any box. And I hope you can find some box of your own imagination here. And I also hope --that'd be an extra-- the sonnet form helps reflection flow. Best regards!
Translation Into Spanish:
Caja
de un futuro que vendrá al haberme ido;
una caja pequeña fue lo que pude costear;
un cubículo de cartón para esconder la pena;
aunque, tal vez, por las mismas termine vencida.
Un cofre servirá bien si acaso puedo pagarlo,
pues es precioso todo lo que ahí he guardado.
Thanks for reading.
See you tomorrow with another poem.

I just simply loved this sonnet. Well done, professor!
