"Quandary" - Haiku Saturday, Round 9, Contest and Community Building, by @prydefoltz

in poetry •  6 years ago  (edited)

Hi, haiku lovers!

I think bridges have always shed some light on the either-or fallacy implied in our illusory sense of freedom. Either you cross it or not. Either you go on or go back. Either you stay in between…
Once more and happily, it's #haikusaturday. And this is my entry this week.

I hope you can read and if you wish to leave a comment, it'd be nice.

Quandary

                                               The bridge leads the way,
                                               artifice of destiny.
                                                         Free will dies along.

What lies across the way in the big city. Great haiku, Marlyn:)

Mine is a little town ☻ Thanks, @prydefoltz

Excellent haiku, @marlyncabrera! I like that reference to the cross that offers a bridge as a channel of communication.

Thank you, dear @zeleiracordero
