My (loose) play off of @uniwhisp's latest entry: It Changes Nothing

Pride and Purpose

Leading with my stubborn pride
I bask in my purpose
Feeling so alive
It brings about passion
That sets into action
There is no cure for this
Struggles within, Struggles brought out
Losing focus and the occasional doubt
The path is cloudy, but it’s certainly there
Not always on it, but kept off in a stare
Pride will get me passed these obstacles
Though they are sometimes unfair
Pride pushing through the process
Clarity coming to light
Realizing that purpose
Is the process of this passionate fight

What's a poem-off, you ask? A challenge between @uniwhisp and I to see if we can go turn-for-turn and repost some of our long lost poems from the vaults of time. No rules apply, and new stuff might just make the mix!
