For those who deal with procrastination and lack of motivation.

I've always struggled with finding the motivation to get things done in my life. From chores and organization to plans and goals, sometimes taking that first step is a monumental one. Here is a poem I wrote when my sense of urgency was at its lowest.

Sense of Urgency

Putting things off
Why do it now?
There's still time before I drown
I delay more and more each day
The limit to this has broken
It seems I've chosen just not to care
And I fare okay
At least that's what I'd say if you asked
But I feel like I'm falling apart here
It appears I've lost my sense of urgency

Pushing it back
What am I waiting for?
Taking the easy way out
Cutting myself too much slack
These days it's not so strange
That I keep telling myself I'm going to change
It's within range
It has to be a phase
And hopefully this will all fade

This clutter in my life
It makes me shudder
This is not me
This is not how I'm supposed to be
Things need to get done
And I need to adhere to them once I've begun
Clearly, a clear mind would be freeing
Let's just see how long it takes me.
