They can't be like him

They can't be like him
Who came and took our place
In everything except sin.

They can't be like him
Who made the finest wine?
And gave them all to drink.

They can't be like him
Who saved an incorrigible whore?
From condemnation for guilt.

They can't be like him
Who made the lame to walk?
The dead to rise and the
Blind to see, all he did gratis.

They can't be like him
Who multiplied five loaves?
And two fishes and
Gave the hungry to eat.

They can't be like him
Whose life was exchange?
With Barabas by the
Pharisees and chief priest.

They can't be like him
Who saved a condemned criminal
From surging forward to Hell-pit.

They can't be like him
Who gave his life in atonement
For our sins.

They can't be like him
Who defeated death and
Opened the gate of Heaven
For all men to go in.
