The fresh sweet smell of dawn
Of cleansing morning dew
The sweetest of feelings
Of hope and thanksgiving
And spirits elated
For all is renewed
With wisdom from times past
To futures clear and bright
A fresh new ink bottle
Parchment clean and supple
To write a new chapter
Where all is renewed
A new year commences
Our hearts celebrating
With singing and dancing
Joy, mirth and merrying
Glad anticipation
As all is renewed.
