Euthanasia

in poetry •  6 years ago

I watch with macabre wonder
the effects of that final sedation
the stiff form turn from body I have known
to marble I have not
the breath taking its final odyssey from the lungs
collapsing the tent of sternum with its departure

Meanwhile, stirring within me
As we gather to watch oblivion undertake our beloved
my body begins betraying
as so often, it arises,
existing so full of life
is to feel so close to death

Nice text, I kind of agree with euthanasia.. I'm wondering if there's life after death. Or just eternal slumber.

nice words and nice poetry

Euthanasia can be a relieve for terminally ill people.
