Monochrome Angel

Fantasy-Atmosphere-Hangman-Mystical-Angel-Figure-2776409 (1).jpg

The monochrome angel lays her head low, her newsprint wings folded in submission.

Time hates nothing likes he hates the obsolete. Angel or demon, he cares naught. Duality is a myth, a page-holder for the mortal. Loved or hated, you serve your purpose; you evolve or get spliced and sliced. With Time, your presence won’t be missed.

The monochrome angel lays her head low. A copper-hilted, stain-less steel blade edits her existence, deletes her possibility from an ever-deepening sepia realm.

The mind will store what’s left, the bits and parts; memories, loves, and woes, now a collection of binary, little more than nothingness, some 1's and 0's.

Deep write

Thanks, Denise:)

An excellent reference to beings without light. I loved the poem and the images so tight. Great, pryde!

Thank you, zeleira:)

All I can tell so far is that everything has its time, maybe even time itself?...

But what does that leave us, nothing much more than to appreciate the fact and try to enjoy the brief time we have.

Try to enjoy every moment you can and do your best not to become obsolete ... :):):)

This poem is now quite literally "now a collection of binary, little more than nothingness, some 1's and 0's." on the block chain forever or until someone turns of the electricity.
The end of newsprint. Great imagery.

Thank you, Molometer:) Glad you enjoyed:)Yes the blockchain is a little rough that way. But easier to carry around than stone and chisel:):)

Wow 😲

Thanks, May:)

This image alone is worth the price of admission: newsprint wings folded in submission. Also evocative, the blade editing her existence...

Thank you, Yahia:) Glad you liked:)

I love this ponder. Duality is such a trap here and yet the illusion feels so real.
Fantastic write. :)

Thank you, Mamadini:) I believe it all stems from preference ... we say yes and we say no. 1 and O but we extrapolate to mythical proportions. It is so human:)

Yes, totally human and thankfully so as we move into the era of bots and all that non-human stuff. ;)

well-said:)

Angel or demon, he cares naught. Duality.

I like this phrase.

Thank you, Cordero:)
