The smoke rising
to the pink and orange sky
The eagles sweep down
to read messages from fire flies
The sandstorm presses forward
I think I hear a sonic boom or two
Waking up to the Cactus dew
The fire flies dropping to the ground
There are headlights all around
and I heard a thumping sound
Five men dressed in brown
drag me away
half sleeping
to their jeep
It moves very fast across the desert
I try to get more sleep
I wake up in a white room
Padding on the walls
A nurse comes in and tells me
I've been here
Since last Fall
I eat my sandwich
and drink my milk
wondering where I've been.
When I ate that needle - less Cactus
I think that's when it began
I just wanted some water.
I just wanted rest.
