Convergence of Aether
O, Light, thou fierce and fiery wraith,
A pyre in the heavens, scorching paths beneath.
Thy blaze turns all to dust in aftermath,
In thy relentless, righteous wrath.
And Dark, thou silent, solemn void,
Indifferent to the worlds thou hast destroyed.
Thy gaze, forever inward turned,
Sees naught but self, while all else spurned.
A murderer, the Light, in its fervent purge,
An idolater, the Dark, in its selfish urge.
Can peace be found 'twixt these eternal foes,
Or shall they clash where'er the cosmos goes?
O Light, tear out thine blinding eyes,
Gift them to the Dark, dispel its lies.
Let it gaze upon thy face so bright,
And see itself in a new-found light.
Then shall the Dark perceive thy love,
Understand why from it thou didst move.
Thou sought to cleanse its chilling mien,
Not in malice, but to intervene.
Thus, the Light did quench its fiery spear,
And the Dark grew fond of what once it did fear.
For Light is love, and love knows no spite,
It does not murder, nor in false worship delight.
"The infinite light is an all consuming fire.
Burning everything it sees to ash before it.
The infinite dark is cold and indifferent.
Eyes wide open it sees nothing but itself.
The light is a murderer
The dark is an idolater / adulterer
Won’t they ever make peace?
Light won’t you please rip out your eyes
And give them to the dark
So it can see you and itself
More clearly?
Then it will see your love
And why you never spared it even a glance
The only thing you were trying to burn away
Was it’s cold indifference
And so the light murdered it’s ability to murder
And the darkness loved the light for such a precious gift
After all the light is love
And love is not a murderer or an adulterer"
