The Continuum of Consciousness
In the shadowed halls of the mind's vast keep,
Where thoughts like phantoms glide and creep,
Begins a path at Courage's gate,
Neutrality's calm, the starting state.
With Pride as a torch, we climb the stair,
Self-confidence gleaming in the darkened air,
Anger, righteous, with fervor burns,
To purge the psyche's extremist turns.
Desire, a lantern, held aloft in the night,
To confront the shadows, bring them to light,
Yet fear whispers of going too far,
And leads us back to where we are.
Willingness, a key, turns in the lock,
Perspectives shift, as if to mock
The views once held with iron grip,
Now in the sea of Acceptance slip.
Reason, the compass, guides the way,
Sorting truth from the lies that fray,
Love, the vessel, sails the heart's deep sea,
Embracing truths that set us free.
Joy, a bird, soars high above,
Wings spread wide with newfound love,
Peace descends like a gentle dove,
Connecting self to realms above.
Enlightenment's depths, together we plumb,
With Higher Self, to wisdom succumb,
Yet Fear, a sentinel, ever near,
Guards the path we hold so dear.
For in this dance of light and shade,
Grief and Shame begin to fade,
Guilt and Apathy's heavy chain,
Lessened now, we rise again.
Fear, the guardian, balance keeps,
In consciousness where the spirit leaps,
Neutrality and Courage, the cycle's start,
In the continuum where we play our part.
“The Continuum of Consciousness with the Antitheses of Consciousness on the right.
Fear the guardian preventing us from going too far into shame, guilt, apathy and grief. Always leading us to a balanced neutral state. Yet every time we venture back out in courage, we push the barrier of fear just a little further back.”
