I WANT TO TELL HER... I can't tell her

in poetry •  7 years ago  (edited)

I want to tell her I can't tell her But I want to But I can't

That this isn't real
I'm lost in the ecstasy of the moment. The moment we shared
They were the only true feelings
That ever coursed
Through my being, my entirety

I want to tell her
I can't tell her
But I want to
But I can't

That this was just meant
To be an arrangement
To safe my reputation
To build my empire
That they were true
As the air I breathe in daily

I want to tell her
I can't tell her
But I want to
But I can't

That she's just a mission
More like a bet
Just like the player's style
Our usual routine
That She's just one of the victims
A polar soul

I want to tell her
I can't tell her
But I want to
But I can't

That this moment will soon be over
As my mission has been accomplished
The memories will linger on
Of the sweet sacred soul
Devoured by the lies of a trickster
Which she believed is her truth

I want to tell her
I can't tell her
But I want to
But I can't

That...
That...
This moment can linger on
No more
That...
This is just a phony.
