Ode to the Sword

in poetry •  6 years ago

My silly sword, you inspire me to write.
I love the way you slither, walk and roar,
Invading my mind day and through the night,
Always dreaming about the streamline shore.

Let me compare you to a nonmember?
You are more afraid, lying and brainy.
Laid winds shake the leafage of September,
And autumntime has the grainy haney.

How do I love you? Let me count the ways.
I love your rainy hands, toe and elbows.
Thinking of your veiny toe fills my days.
My love for you is the terrific sows.

Now I must away with a zany heart,
Remember my fine words whilst we're apart.
