A Glimpse

When I glimpse your elegance, I'm taken by your eyes.
An endless sense of wonder and an innocence toward life.
With your worldly passion, not naivety contrived,
Instead the purest empathy and love for ones so tied.

I find myself aspiring toward who you always are.
I think about desiring a different type of goal.
I scold myself inquiring with 'event you will, ask',
As we shall only see the answer through a sought-for soul.

If seeking is a deadly sin, then hang me up to dry.
When searching for a spark within, you made my fire ignite.
With time a fleeting factor but the will and wonder high,
My patience is enamored by your never-ending smile.
