Soldier boy

I am just a lover with this wretched life to live
But, you,a soldier, a friend to many battle fields
I've nothing to offer, not a simple song to sing
But, you come with troops, and the many bounties you keep

We both have scars, albeit, doesn't matter from whence they came
A heart also, thus, you should feel my pain
We both would die, you in war
And i, betwixt the thighs of my maiden, searching for love

So, strip me bare of all but my nurse
She's got my heart stuck in her purse
You could upon might afford another, that we both know
As for me, she's all I have, and have ever known

You have your gun to self
and your general to guard
Who will plough my bed?
Lay with me and watch the stars

If you take her, you take my breath
And for your soul i will return
be it in heaven or hell
Neither calvary can save you there.
