AN AFRICAN CHAMPION

Another slain season.
Now I have a reason
to stand tirelessly tall
without the fear of a fall.
I've defeated darkness.
Success is now in excess.
I'm in a romance with light;
gunning for a greater height.
I've assassinated failure
with bravery so pure.
I am now the best;
sad history now at rest.
I'm an undisputed champion;
that's Success' obstinate opinion.
My shoulders apparently high;
no more reasons to sigh.
Work is however not over.
Achievement must live forever.
Bring out African talking drums
and let us make merry with decorum.
