A poem I wrote about my son @son-of-satire almost 25 years ago

in poetry •  8 years ago

I was doing some organising around the house and uncovered a number  of poems that I wrote a long, long time ago. I wrote one for each of my children and after reading them, I am shocked at how accurately they still describe my children's personalities.

I would like to share the poem I wrote for my son Scott, as he is an active member of the Steemit community and many of you may already know him as @son-of-satire.

He was only 5 or 6 when I wrote this, and I'm so proud of him for having the strength of character to retain that same personality all the way to age 29. Especially in a world like this, where there are corrupting influences all around that can destroy the character of even those which possess the strongest of wills.

Well done, son and I hope you can stay the way you are for another 25 years!

You forgot handsome, mother...
Seriously though, I'm not sure how I feel about you putting this on here but, thanks for the kind words.
PS. I love you. Make me some dinner please? lol

I didn't forget to write handsome. I wrote it in your brother's poem
Come around and I'll make you something.
