Dark Sun

in poetry •  7 years ago

There is a call I feel to the sun, as black as can be,

When I gaze up to the sky it takes my vision; takes all that I see,

Farther into that abyss I am drawn, for reasons yet unknown,

I travel to it in my mind, into that unyielding cold,

The longer I stared at it, the more I came to surreally see;

That the sun I thought I was viewing, was only a reflection of me.
