Poetry Corner: Renewal

in poetrycorner •  7 years ago  (edited)

A burst of light, no more rain.
Happiness is here again.
A smile I wear, large and true.
My cheeks now have a healthy hue.

From the dark, there springs light,
Like a phoenix taking flight.
My heart renewed, my sole on fire,
With the bird I soar up higher.

Life anew, death no more,
No more sadness, pain, or gore.
Good new waves, energy pure,
So this was the great allure.

If only short, if only small,
Before I start, again, to fall,
I wish one thing, during my fun.
To spread this joy to everyone.
