We set barriers to gain freedom, and build chains to set us free,
We cling to what destroys us, from protection we flee.
In circles we run, behind glass we hide,
A fruitless struggle to hold onto our pride.

A child on the street after running from home,
To hide from oppressors a man won't leave home.
In circles we run, behind glass we hide,
A fruitless struggle to hold onto our pride.

The ignorant make mistakes, the wise hypocrisy,
We believe theirs a difference between Communist and democracy.
In circles we run, behind glass we hide,
A fruitless struggle to hold onto our pride.

All fall victim, if they realize or not,
It's an endless struggle for peace that they fought.
In circles we run, behind glass we hide,
A fruitless struggle to hold onto our pride.

A walled jail on the beautiful coral island...
Much like human perception and understanding, walled from all sides and failing to understand the greatness beyond ...

Apt poem n pic

Thanks, I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out. Based on your comment, the message is getting through OK too :)

cool photos

Did you write this man? Superb poem - love the jail as @bsameep mentioned :: the cycles of struggle; the imperfection in us all :)

Yep, I write everything I post here. This is from a few years ago though. It's funny looking back... I don't remember having these same kinds of concerns when I was younger, but apparently I haven't changed as much as I had thought.
